Huge Alaskan Malamute

The Alaskan malamute dog was originally a sled dog, and was also used as a hunting dog and companion. These days they are only used as sled dogs in a few remote snow covered areas. They are very friendly and outgoing , but are very protective of their families. They have the tendency to socialize with other people and other animals a bit too much on occasion. The strong well-built artic dog has a thick boorish double coat and a furry tail. The outer coat is rough and hard while the inner one is fatty and woolly. They have strong legs and large paws. They even have fur in between their toes, which helps keep their paws warm.

Alaskan Malamute Dogs can be found in white, black and white red, sable, and wolf gray. A Malamute prefers to be outdoors. If they are kept indoors they need to have good human companions with them as they have a tendency to become troublemakers when left alone or ignored. They are descended from wolves and are a pack dog, and thus can’t stand to be left alone. The Malamutes Family is now its “pack”. The Alaskan malamute dog likes to please people, and can be trained easily most of the time.
