The American Bulldog Breed – Great Family Dog

The American Bulldog is an athletic breed and they make excellent pets for families. As with any other breed, the male is a big bigger than the female Bulldog.

The Males can be at a height between twenty two to twenty seven inches and weight one hundred and twenty seven pounds while the females can be around twenty five inches and weigh around one hundred pounds. The Bulldog has a short coat that is full of stiff hair and can come in a number of shades including brindle, red and white.

The American Bulldog has a perfect personality that you will enjoy. They are always of loving type and make great dogs for children as they are loyal. However, as with any breed, you should never leave your children alone with the dog because children could aggravate the dog. The Bulldog does well with other pets, but you should socialize and train them when they are puppies to be around other pets. The Bulldogs make great working dogs and will help you out with anything, as long as you train them to do so.

This breed is a low maintenance breed when it comes to grooming. You will only need to groom their coats when they need it, which is not often. However, when it does come time to groom your Bulldog, you can count on them laying there and enjoying it.

You should make sure you give your Bulldog a bath and when you give them a bath, make sure you wash all of the soap off because it could cause skin problems for the dog.
